The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth within a company. He or she will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a strategic plan focused both on revenue targets and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and customer needs. Stay up to date on industry trends, competition, and new products/services.
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
- Prepare presentations and proposals for potential clients.
- Prepare and negotiate service agreement ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Ensure and secure the company's and project's profitability.
- Build long-term relationships with new customers and clients.
- Establish connections with potential customers through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach.
- Provide reliable feedback and after-sales support.
- Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new opportunities for the agency.
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
- Strong understanding of the PR industry or in related industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with key decision-makers
- Proven ability to close deals
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
